CHEIF INSTRUCTOR EYAL YANILOV

Born in 1959, Eyal Yanilov began his Krav Maga training in 1974 with Eli Avikzar, (at the time one of the top Krav Maga instructors) and soon afterwards, Eyal began to study Krav-Maga directly under the personal tutelage of Grand Master Imi-Sde Or (Lichtenfeld), the founder of Krav Maga. Eyal demonstrated extraordinary talent as a student in Krav Maga, and then later as an Instructor and went on to serve as Imi’s closest assistant from the early 1980’s for almost 20 years. Eyal is the only person in the world to whom Imi presented the ‘Founders Diploma of Excellence’.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN KRAV MAGA

To meet the needs of modern conflict in the world today, Eyal Yanilov, after Imi entrusted him with this mission, created a new curriculum for Krav Maga transforming it to a more organized and formal system that is built on the principles of action and unique instructional methods. He then became the head of the Israeli Krav Maga Associations Professional Committee and was instrumental in the educating the general public in the benefits of Krav Maga, as well as military and anti-terrorist units in Israel.

20 YEARS OF GLOBAL TRAVEL FOR KRAV MAGA

Eyal has devoted his life to spreading Krav Maga around the world. In the United States in the mid 1980’s and Europe in the mid 1990’s, he began teaching Krav Maga to various sectors from civilians, to Military Units and Law Enforcement personnel. It all started with the first Krav Maga Self Defence Instructors Course
for American citizens being held in 1981.

THE GLOBAL DEMAND FOR KRAV MAGA TRAINING

Practically Eyal created the demand for Krav Maga around the world. To manage this ever-growing demand, Eyal founded the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) in 1996 and served as its President and Head Instructor under the guidance of Grandmaster Imi. Krav Maga has since spread throughout the globe and Eyal has personally trained all of the world’s first generation of Krav Maga Instructors in over 40 countries.

KRAV MAGA GLOBAL

In 2010, Eyal established Krav Maga Global (KMG), a global infrastructure designed to disseminate Krav Maga throughout the world in a more structured format whilst maintaining the highest levels of training. Under the personal supervision of Eyal, Krav Maga Global operates a team of highly qualified instructors known as the ‘Global and International Teams. Since Imi’s death in 1998, Eyal has taken upon himself the responsibility of leading the continued development of Krav Maga throughout the world In 2001, Eyal published the book ‘How to defend yourself against armed assault’, written in conjunction with Grand Master Imi before he passed away. The book is just the first part of a series of 3 volumes which create the only official and comprehensive manual of the system. The first book published is dealing with conflict situation that involve weapons, it also includes many of the core principles of the Krav Maga system. Teams (GIT)’ who are responsible for delivering Krav Maga instructors education, exclusive workshops and specialist courses throughout the world. Many Military Units and Law Enforcement personnel have adopted Krav Maga as their preferred system of defensive tactics and self-defence and use Krav Maga Global as their training provider.

Eyal Yanilov’s Krav Maga Global is proud to preserve and promote only authentic Krav Maga maintaining the professional standards as outlined by Grand Master Imi. Eyal has also produced a comprehensive set of Krav Maga DVD’s outlining the various techniques, tactics and principles of the Krav Maga system.
